Stonesthrow Theater's core company has decades of experience in Acting, Directing, Playwrighting, Stage Management, and Creative Design.

Court has been writing songs, poems, short stories and works for the theater for 50 years. Currently he is completing work on Can of Worms: A Half-Encountered Memoir , a second collection of poems, and finalizing edits on a collection of short stories. Many of his original songs and writings have been performed on stage; readings of his original work come alive with an actor’s instinct honed by years of experience.
Court is an associate artist with Pilgrim Theater Collaborative, a resident company of the Boston Center for the Arts (BCA), including Project Unspeakable (playwright), Faust 2002 (Miphistopheles - BCA, Malta Theater Festival in Poznan, Poland) and Guys Dreamin’ (co-created with Jean-Claude van Itallie and Kermit Dunkelberg, La Mama E.T.C. (“Top Ten Shows of the 1997-8 Season”, New York Theater Wire)), The House Not Touched by Death, and two productions of The Tibetan Book of the Dead.

Tim is an accomplished Director, Designer, Actor, and Teacher.
Tim founded the Hampshire Shakespeare Company, Amherst MA, directing 1/3 of the Canon; DramaWorks InterActive, Amherst MA, working with Fortune 500 Companies, applying theatre to organizational issues; Afterwords Theatre Company, Off Off Broadway, NYC, and Late Night Comedy Revue, Vineyard Haven, MA. He taught Theatre at Hartsbrook School, Hadley MA, originating the Senior Class Play Project, directing High School Musicals, Winter Solstice ceremonies. He is a member of AEA and SAG.

Joe studied acting/directing at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee, appearing in The Devils, Women Beware Women, The Country Wife, A Hunger Artist, Chamber Music and The Beard among others. He directed productions of Chamber Music and Eugene O'Neill's Before Breakfast. He also worked with The Milwaukee Repertory Theater, appearing in The Collection, Androcles and The Lion, and Richard II. He then pivoted and spent 50 years practicing Rolfing, leading men’s workshops, and consulting to organizations, while raising a family in 3 acts. He returned to the stage in 2025 to strong reviews in Court Dorsey’s Swamped! He is married to author/filmmaker/activist Sara Schley.

Jan is a writer and producer for Make Your Life A Musical, creating musicals about peoples lives since 2006. Jan has co- written and produced over 20 original shows with her collaborator, composer/lyricist Rene Pfister. Their work has been performed all across New England, including Concord Youth Theatre, Hampshire Shakespeare, Riverside Theatre Works, and the award-winning Open Door theater of Acton. In 2024 and 2025 their Alice in Wonderland show toured throughout China with the world renowned Poly Theater group and Aliluo Productions. Jan has over 30 years of experience in stage management, set construction and prop creation. Jan is also the Props designer for the Berklee Theatre Arts collaborative.Her props, costumes and sets have appeared in Berklee shows, including Chicago, Hair, Cabaret, City of Angels, Legally Blonde, In the Heights, Kiss, and I Love You You’re Perfect Now Change, produced in Xi’an, China.

Rene is a performer, director, pianist, violinist, and children’s theater writer. He has produced over 500 original songs and 30 musicals in his 30 years of work. He currently serves as the Artistic Director of the Berklee Theater Arts Collaborative (BTAC),and has created a training program dedicated to the development of young theater professionals.
